To say I am excited to serve the Stratford School District and our community is an understatement! We have so much to be thankful for in the SSD. Our successes in student achievement, extracurricular activities, and preparing our students for life, careers, and college, all while maintaining fiscal responsibility, are truly commendable.
Before stepping into this role, I served as the high school principal in the Mosinee School District for nine years and spent twelve years as a technology education teacher in the Fond du Lac School District. I hold a bachelor's degree in Technology Education from St. Cloud State University, a master's in Educational Leadership from Marian University, and a Doctorate in Education from Edgewood College.
My wife, Gina, and I have two children: Drayton, who is currently attending Bemidji State University, and Adalyn, who is at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
As I mentioned, I am thrilled to be part of the Stratford School District. We have many achievements to celebrate, including our impressive state test scores—the highest school report card scores in Marathon County—as well as offering the third most dual credit and youth apprenticeship options in the Northcentral Technical College Consortium.
As a school community, we will continue to identify areas for improvement while always prioritizing decisions that best meet our students’ needs.
Wishing everyone a wonderful school year ahead! Remember, every day is a great day to be a TIGER!
In partnership,
Dr. Nathan Lehman
Superintendent of Schools
